Columbia River Knife & Tool Zilla-Tool

The world of multi-tools can get mundane pretty quickly. Every now and then a company might squeeze in an extra tool or gizmo, but for the most part multi-tools are all the same. It usually just comes down to who can build the strongest and most dependable version of the standard multi-tool design. Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) said to hell with all of that, teamed up with the award-winning design duo of Launce Barber and Tom Stokes, and created the CRKT Zilla-Tool, a truly innovative multi-tool that completely redefines the space.

At the center of the CRKT Zilla-Tool’s innovative design is a switch in the middle of the body that releases a spring loaded pliers handle. Incorporating a spring loaded design into the pliers system gives a layer of added functionality that makes the Zilla-Tool completely unique in its space. These spring-loaded pliers jaws have a slight needle nose taper, both fine flat and circular toothed gripping surfaces, a very useful wire cutter, and a wire stripping notch near the handle. The Zilla-Tool features a screwdriver with two hex bits (it also accepts other standard hex bits), and a large straight-edge blade engaged by a convenient and quick flipper. Its metallic surfaces are bead blast, and its rugged scales are injection molded black glass filled nylon.

The CRKT Zilla-Tool is an ingenious break from convention, a redefining multi-tool that delivers spring-loaded pliers, wire cutters, a screwdriver, a knife, and a bottle opener all in a completely unique package.
